Iām a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California (License # PSY 30874) with over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of emotional, interpersonal, and behavioral difficulties, including but not limited to, depression, bipolar, anxiety, stress, life transitions, autistic spectrum disorders, psychosis, trauma and PTSD, abuse, relationship/interpersonal difficulties, grief, career and work-related issues, school issues, and immigration/acculturation issues.
I also treat couples with relationship difficulties, including but not limited to, communication difficulties, trust issues, infidelity, grief, separation and divorce, and parenting issues.
My treatment approach is integrative. I use evidence-based treatment such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. I also incorporate techniques from psychodynamic, family systems, and client-centered therapies. I understand that each individual is unique, so my treatment approach will be tailored to meet your individual needs. My role in psychotherapy is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for you.
As a bicultural therapist, I am passionate about multicultural issues. I have extensive experience in helping individuals with acculturation and adjustment difficulties. I also offer psychotherapy in Cantonese and Mandarin.
